Security and Infrastructure:

Recordables provides high level security, infrastructure and service for all of our software solutions. Our software solutions are used by an array of insurance carriers, public sector entities and risk pools throughout the United States.

The Recordables web server is SOC 2 (system of controls) Type II and III compliant. In addition the infrastructure complies with the ISO 27001 standard. Further, all data and transmissions are encrypted and secure following industry best practices.

Browser based applications evoke the word cloud based computing. Cloud computing also known as 'on-demand computing', is a kind of Internet-based computing, where shared resources, data and information are provided to computers and other devices on demand. However, the operative word is ‘shared’ which has far greater potential for more vulnerabilities than that of a dedicated hosted private server.  Therefore, an additional layer of security can be accomplished with a dedicated hosted private server which is used by Recordables.

Recordables uses RAID technology, Redundant Array of Independent Disks. RAID allows you to store the same data redundantly (in multiple paces) in a balanced way to improve overall performance.  This approach also allows the data to be more secure as it is duplicated to a redundant drive.

Recordables has among the best Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans in the industry in which testing is conducted throughout the year by a third party. In addition, Recordables has annual security assessments to identify and correct risk.

The Recordables team has assembled a ‘PRIV’ Privacy, Risk IT and Vulnerabilities committee to identify any type of risk eminent to software and hosting services. This committee works with IT staff and consultants on an on-gong basis.
